Ministry is more than “just volunteering some time at church.” True ministry involves faith as well as service. Neither work nor faith by itself is enough. The Bible talks about this relationship in James 2. I Corinthians 12 also deals with the fact that every believer is specially equipped by God with certain “gifts” that are to be used for His glory. God uses each unique individual in such a way that the “body” benefits.
